REAL ESTATE MARKET IN REVIEW
2006 was
and interesting year for the real estate market. Everyone
has heard about the declining marketplace throughout the United
States and it is true- many place have substantially slowed
down; however, we do still have people moving to the Carson
Valley. Sure homes are staying on the market for longer and
we are not seeing the high appreciation rates compared to
the previous 5 years, but we expect our market to stay strong.
We recently
completed a market analysis comparing the sales from 2005
to the sales from 2006 for the Foothill/Genoa area. There
was a decrease in the number of homes sold, but the average
sold price has increased. Here is a brief overview:

sale ranges from $3,250,000 to $199,000. Parcels differ
